About

Hi there! My name is Rebecca. I am always excited to meet people motivated to make positive adjustments and changes in their lives and am honored when I am able to assist them on this journey. I have been practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2012 and have been involved in the field of interpersonal change for over 20 years. I have had the opportunity to work in outpatient, day treatment and residential treatment with youth, adults, families, and couples. In those settings, I have experience working with diverse backgrounds including clients from diverse cultures and backgrounds including the LGBTQ community. I have school-based experience as a therapist on-site and have coordinated with the student, parents, and school staff to develop dynamic solutions specific to mental health and behavioral needs in order to generate opportunities for success. I also have experience assisting individuals and families in adverting and/or recovering from crisis and have had training in suicide prevention, substance abuse/addiction, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, attachment, adjustment disorders, conflict resolution, and trauma informed interventions. My therapeutic approach centers around my belief that each individual and each family system has unique abilities to bring about their own healing. I support the people I work with in doing so by creating a trusting environment, using Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Substance Treatment, and Family Systems Interventions. I am committed to building relationships based on trust, remaining optimistic yet realistic and empowering clients to achieve their goals.
